REDUCING VIOLENCE BY ESTABLISHING RULES OF
                           NON VIOLENCE FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN

     When youngsters are trained to follow the Non-Violent Rules of Society and the Rules of Law, their tendencies toward violence is curbed.

     Implanting and enforcing the basic rules which set forth the tone for enjoying a successful life is however, not the total solution to thwarting the evolution of a violent society. 

     But causing our youth to adhere to and participate in the making of the rules of evolutionary survival will change the status quo and insure a lifetime of peaceful co-existence.

    We must insure that that rules are in place that will change the child for enduring peace; or, that the child will change the rules to insure enduring peace.

     We must understand that by breaking up a violent episode of a child’s behavior will stop the violence for an hour, or a day; but, teaching a child to live by the rules of non-violence, and influencing him to actively participate in the science of non-violence, will prevent the onslaught of violent episodes for life.

     Obeying the rules of society also teaches kids to control their impulses. However, when there are no boundaries in place for youth not to cross, they often revert back to their animal instincts of uncontrolled impulses as a way of life.

     They expect to get everything they want when they want it, or else they will render violent consequences.

    Yet, when the rules of successful living have been firmly put in place, children will develop untiring patience, and learn to control their impulses and childish desires.

     It follows that when youth who have been trained to follow  the rules are challenged and tested, they have a winning means of eliminating rage  and fury from their consciousness.

     In the armed forces, for example, other than the teaching of special skills or warfare, men are taught, and compelled  to follow orders, and that is specifically why there is no mass violence within the ranks.

     Man clearly has the capacity to envelope his offspring with the training  and guidance to disavow  today’s tragic episodes of teenage violence. 

      Let’s face it, man has skillfully demonstrated his capacity to eliminate violence when he has put his mind to it. He has taken the most out of control, wildest stallions, and turned them into  compliantly obedient race horses who followed all the rules of horse racing. He has taken the most inherently vicious dogs and trained them to become the most obedient and winning show dogs. Certainly, man has the intelligence to perform these tasks with his own children.. 

      Currently, we know that children growing up have evolved to respond to many different stimuli to help orient themselves to their best advantage. At this stage of uncontrolled violence in our society, we must fall back on  rules  of society  and  the
rules of law to steer the direction of childhood  growth  toward positivity.

     As we go further herein, we will discuss the specific rules which must be put firmly in place to eliminate violence in the teenage world.
