American Institute of Positivity  is the Parent organization which wages a war against negativity by  causing Success Seeking Techniques to be  used by its member organization,  the Miss Black America Pageant which includes Little Miss Black America, and, Miss Black America Teen.

All in all, the SSS tech- niques enable success seekers to accomplish anything they desire. They become   proud of developing total physical control over  themselves. They find themselves able to work harder and with greater concentration than before. These are minuscule  benefits.

The Miss Black America Success Seeking Sisters are affected spiritually by their total change in self-organiza- tion. Goals that once seemed nearly impossible, fall within their reach. They  begin thinking, "Why didn't I do it before? I wish I had known achiev- ing was a matter of good organ-ization, planning and dedication".

All entrants are moti- vated to enjoy successful lives and are guided to take specific steps to reap the  rewards of successful lives.

All this, while competing together in the Sister hood of MBA Pageantry.

The Sister- hood promotes and sustains a long term rela- tionship with sisters who pledge.

My actions and my attitudes will always reflect the
positivity in my mind.

My physical appearance will always reveal my positive mental attitude toward life.

My head held-high will indicate the mental and spiritual strength that lives within me.

My straight, cheerful manner of walking will exemplify the positive direction my life has taken.

My eloquent manner of talking will always relate the positive mental, spiritual and physical forces that reside within me.

My illustrious smile will al- ways express the pleasure I receive from living.

The positive
look in my eyes will always indicate the self-confi- dence and positive spirits inside me.

Therefore...

I CAN perform any task;

I CAN sell any product;

I CAN cause any relation ship to thrive

I CAN overcome any obstacle;

I CAN accomplish any objective.

I AM a positive mental, spiritual and physical person.

I AM spiritually capable of succeeding.

The American Institute of Positivity through the MBA Pageant provides a forum and an environment where Success Seeking Sisters relax, assume self control,  dream the dream, and take proper steps to realize the dream come true.

AIP and  the  MBA Pageant  have  created  Success Seekers Seminars. Success Seeking Sisters attend and learn how to  accomplish long and short term objectives. AIP & the MBA Pageant  have developed concepts which enable Success Seeking Sisters  to  soar  ahead  in   mental,  spiritual, physical,  economic  and  career  goals.  Participants  take the “Oath of  Positivity”  which  commits  all  participants  to take part in a 17 point personal development program. The Miss Black America Pageant adopted the oath as its creed immediately after it  was  penned  by  J. Morris Anderson. The  17  points  of  the “Oath of  Positivity”  lift the Success Seeker far above a level of mediocrity.  It turns the Seminar into a mental, spiritual, and physical development program, with positive and long-term impacts on successful careers.

THE OATH’S affirmations indelibly persuade each Success Seeking Sister to believe she is a winner, not only in the Success Seekers Program, but in every aspect of life.

The MBA Pageant inspires self belief and promotes complete confidence in one’s ability to achieve any goal set.  It ignites the positive forces that exist within Success Seeking Sisters, and motivates the activation of physical, mental and spiritual powers which propel the aspirant to the highest levels of  accomplishment.  It follows that  the 17 points emphasized in the creed represent the crux of what the MBA Pageant  is all about..

Hence, the MBA Pageant identifies the potential of  Success Seeking Sisters,& confronts them with the  reality of their inherent greatness. When this reality is accepted, Success Seeking Sisters experience a sharper sense of who they  are, brighter visions of where they can go,  clearer revelations of  how to get there - and an understanding of how to stay there.

THE MBA SISTERHOOD: A LIFE TIME PARTICIPATION
The Sisterhood promotes and sustains a long term relationship with sisters who pledge.  The new MBA Contestants’ experience encompass more than a  one year span. Each sister is offered a lifetime member-ship. This, so all may return each year and motivate new entrants to enjoy deep reaching experiences in self-improvement, self­ management, and achievement. At this point, sisters are aware  they can accomplish anything they desire, are proud of developing total physical control over themselves, are able to work harder and with greater concentration than imagined. 

By virtue of the positive mental and spiritual attitude acquired by Success Seeking Sisters, their emotions are moved to show off and exhibit their accomplishments through pageantry. They are certainly not too proud to praise themselves for their versatile  and deliberate accomplishments. This is because they are supposed to accomplish, and they can not conceive of quitting.

Once the MBAP Motto, “Sow the Seeds of Positivity  Reap the Flowers of Success” becomes a part of her life style, the Success Seeking Sister takes on the job of DOING, ACTING, GOING AND ACCOMPLISHING.

Her goals become clear and distinct. For her, accomplishment is simply a matter of taking the step.
